I was referred also it was one group session where they explain everything they then give you a sugar testing kit and ask you to monitor your sugars and it will be transferred to an app. if you can control your sugars by diet then they just keep a check otherwise if your sugers are high you will be medicated.
After the group session you will be under a consultant for the rest of your pregnancy.

Yes the same happened to me I had to go to the hospital for a group session. They just go over everything. You will be fine.
