Making formula feeds

Help please!
I’m going to start feeding my LO formula as top ups as I’m not expressing enough to exclusively breastfeed.
So using cow and gate infant formula, the instructions on the box say to boil the kettle then wait 30 minutes to make the formula then cool the bottle afterwards… which seems ridiculous as LO will be going crazy by then!
Can I use the hot shot method which I’ve read a bit about? How would I do that? 😬

Yeah you can. You normally need to use at least 2oz of boiling water to kill the bacteria in the formula, and then the rest use cool boiled water. But it depend how many oz your LO is having.
I use the flask method. So I have a flask of boiling water and then I have a tommee tippee cooler. Mix the formula up with the boiling water. Pour into the TT flask and 1 minute later it’s perfect temperature! I personally think it’s easier than hot shot method as you know it’s always going to be perfect no matter how many oz x

Boil a full jug of water in the morning & stick it in the fridge for the day. That way you can add the boiling to the formula & top up with the cold ☺️ x
