My daughter is 3 months old. Starting at about 1 1/2 2 months she started getting really dry rash like splotches then her face started breaking out bad with these red rashes & her eyes would get dry red and swell. We have been to the dr 3 times and he proscribed hydrocortisone, it helped a little for about a week. We have switched laundry detergent, put many different creamed & lotions, I changed my diet, cut out dairy.
We have an appointment with a specialist tomorrow but I am desperate to find something to help my baby. She’s miserable, itchy & hurting. I will add more pictures in comments.

A little less then a month. We use derma wash & lotion, we also give baths every night. Just heartbreaking. I hope the skin specialist will give us answers.

I used the prescribed steroidal creams from the doctor.
Get a dehumidifier, preferably one that doesn’t need to have the filter replaced. It’s more expensive, more worth it in the long run. The winter air is dry and makes this condition worse. Dehumidifier worked really well for us.
I also used a cream from another country which had additional ingredient than the doctor recommended CeraVe.
I think the combination of dehumidifier and the foreign cream cured my child. I’ve never had to use it again. He does seem to have dry skin and asks for lotion. I wish I could use my dehumidifier but it has no filter. I must order filters. It’s annoying.
Good luck.

@Sadie did the specialist provide any explanation. Having a hard time too and tried various things but nothing working
