I was in hostel, then private rented flat but now in housing association am I still able to complete housing option assessment. As my rent is a lot and was hoping I get a cheaper place as it’s also going up more in April and think I’m going to struggle ??

If you’re UK, have you looked at applying for Universal credit to cover some or all of your rent costs? There are also some grants on Turn2us which you may be eligible for as a one off x

You won't find cheaper rent than housing association, it's much cheaper than private rent

I’m paying the same amount for my housing association property which was how much I was paying also for my private rented.

council is cheaper than social, but yes it tends to be a lot cheaper than private still!
