So I've just half sliced my 12 week old babys finger off when he twitched as I committed to the cut (using nail trimmer in tommy tippee hygiene kit) and I am never ever cutting his nails again the traditional way.
Please comment the safest way you know of! Teeth doesn't count, im not very comfortable with it!
(My LO is fine, his finger is fine, it just feels like I've practically cut the finger off.. I feel so horrible... in actuality i broke the skin very barely)
No judgment please I feel extremely horrible for my poor baby ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

We use a baby electric nail file that we bought from Amazon for around £10. They are very gentle x

I use this Baby Nail File, RIGHTWELL Electric Baby Nail Clipper https://amzn.eu/d/2OmLuxY

@Ash we have the same one and you can use clippers later when they're older (we have them too then my cousin said get this and how she wishes she got it eaelier)

I happened to me, I felt so bad !!
I waited a couple of weeks and then used the little scissors from the kit and I think it was easier.
But I'm thinking of buying the electric file

I got the Thumble nail file- not electric but it’s super quick and easy to use and sits on your thumb. Definitely been happy with it so far

I use this too and it’s the best!

Baby electric nail file on Amazon. I used that for over a year before switching to a safe baby clippers.

Definitely Electric nail file.
At that age though their nails are so soft you can almost just peel them off at the length you want 😅

We got an electric baby one from amazon and I've just done all his nails and he didn't wake up! I tried it straight on my skin first and it doesn't even feel like a file! Amazing.. I thought they were another gadget money sink but now convinced its a necessity
