Biiiitch😂 that book is so poorly written but it had so much potential. It doesn’t get much better lol

so far in the book I’m just full of wtf and I bought the second book too 🤦🏻‍♀️ it feels like it trying too hard to be fantasy and dark romance

also I’m hating the whole pity me and feel sorry for me from Violet

I haven’t read the second one bc I couldn’t be bothered, I have heard that it’s like 15% better than the first but it’s still not great. All of her food analogies crack me up, like calling the ocean a churning bowl of soup and the sun a yokey thing, like maam just eat a snack while you’re writing 😂 there is a lot of “feel sorry for me” energy, but like why would we? She’s doing pretty well on her own. And don’t even get me started on the dragon bonds 🙄 whenever they’re turned on the riders get turned on too is all I will say lol

I actually really love this series so far 😂 I think it’s exponentially better than the ACOTAR series that was straight 🔥🗑️

Edit: Rebecca Yarros is actually a romance writer so that might be why some are saying it’s trying to hard to be fantasy. She’s never written fantasy.
