@jen you have to be around 10 weeks for it to come back with accurate results. Anything before that has a chance of not being conclusive

Yes NIPT! doctors usually ask u if u want to do it, and it’s free

i think it’s non-invasive prenatal testing. it’s to detect any congenital abnormalities in the fetus’s DNA like down’s syndrome. And it also tells you what the sex of the baby!

Oh…… I think I turned that down also because I didn’t want to have an amnio and I was 33 years old… They probably have that included, and I turned it down with the amnio I guess.
———-nobody told me the benefit of the sex as well, AND I WOULD NOT HAVE said no to a diagnostic blood test. I don’t know. (That glucose test - be very careful what you EAT 24 hrs before—— mine was the day after Halloween and I had to go for the test because I was ”just inside the area of being CLOSE”….. 😬

OHHHH. Maybe that’s why they call it non-invasive. I got an amnio with my first because of a brain thing he had and OMG IT HURT. And idk how new it is if it is a new thing?

it was free for you?! I turned it down because it was so expensive. They told me insurance doesn’t cover any part of it for a low risk pregnancy
