My little one hated tummy time untill I got the water mat and now he loves it! He’s progressed sooo much in the last couple weeks. If you haven’t already I 100% recommend, I also have the crawling crab but that just scares him 😂🥹

My little girl hated it for ages. I was literally doing 2 minutes a day with her as she would kick off. Then, one day, out of the blue, I did it with her, and she held her head up and loved it. We spent a lot of time sat on the floor against the sofa at an angle and did it that way with her which she seemed to prefer.
We also have the crawling crab, but she loves it (the dog hates it 🤣🤣).

My first hated it then one day just rolled onto her tummy delighted with herself, 2nd seemed fine with it from the get go

my dog weirdly likes the crawling crab, he chases it around the front room it’s hilarious 😂😂😂 I think he thinks it’s his friend 😂

@Chelsea 🤣🤣 bless him!! I'm hoping that once she realises it's not actually chasing her, she'll be OK with it.

Awful reflux means we don't do much as he will literally vom as soon as u put him on his tummy. HV has said until we can get his reflux under control there won't be much we can do to resolve the situation. Granted baby was premmie so was actually born in june (due in sept) so they will expect him to reach milestone in line with his due date age rather than his actual age. We still do tummy time but it's hard work when we already go through multiple outfits a day. Hes still under the dietitian at the hospital so its trial and error for the reflux.

My LO can't do more than a few minutes before he starts complaining, and he still can't do it on the floor directly, he needs a pillow or towel to prop him up or he won't even remotely try to lift his head. My understanding is tummy time can help accelerate them meeting their milestones but they'll meet them eventually anyway. I saw someone say on another post, they're not going to be starting school dragging themselves across the floor 😂 and I realised this was true and relaxed me a lot

My LO gives me 5 minute slots of it. So I assist him rolling in and out and break up by giving him some time on his back. We use the water mat, crab, Hey Bear Sensory on the TV and then foil / material for him to feel. Have to change it up or he gets bored!
