Membrane sweep update

Ugh I didn’t get to 5cm until I was at the hospital having painful contractions after 2 days of irregular contractions at home! I had to have an epidural (unplanned) and they had to break my water.

I truly hope that isn’t the case for you but I had no idea it was even a possibility!

I’m having really painful contractions today but I’m scared to go back as I was just there last night! I know better safe than sorry but it’s so discouraging to be sent home in so much pain and knowing I could be getting help and laboring there

I get that. I waited until contractions were consistently 5 mins apart. They kept me because I had *slightly* elevated blood pressure!

at the hospital last night, my co tractions were happening every 4 mins and lasted about 1-2 mins for the entire 6 hours they kept me but still sent me home ! And over the time they were getting stronger so I’m confused why I was sent home. I went in at 2cm and left at 4cm 😩

Have you called your OB to let them know your contractions haven’t stopped since you left the hospital? I’m 39 weeks 5 days and have yet to have consistent contractions. I get like 2 or 3 in a row times about 15/10 min apart but not any closer lasting for an hour yet. Good luck! Sending prayers 🙏
