Is it normal to feel the baby less than usual?

So my baby moves a lot during the night and very early in the mornings. He is my new alarm. I am 32 weeks and 6 days. I didn’t feel him this morning at all. I was getting worried. Because I woke up and all of the sudden I felt so light and not pregnant at all (either way I don’t have a big pump at all). I woke up, had some water and walked around and after a few mins I kind of felt something so I felt better. But since this morning I haven’t really feeling him much. Idk if this is normal or if I should call my Dr. also I was feeling pulses )like heart beats) in the side of my belly. The pulses last around 5 min every second.

I would definitely do a kick count. But if you've been feeling him less than normal and for peace of mind I would definitely call. Try drinking some orange or apple juice and see if that will get him to move around. Praying for you and baby 🙏💙

Try drinking something sugary to see if that gets him going, but I would still call your OB and let them know. Low fetal movement can be a sign of something more serious going on. I don’t want to scare you but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Thank you. I will call the Dr. just to prevent anything serious and for my peace of mind as well. 🤍🙏🏼

there are apps for kick counts, you could also just keep a log on paper or notepad on your phone. Hope everything is ok n and if you need to talk I’m here ❤️

I would get it checked out, most drs want you to report any changes at this stage since they have consistent patterns

It could be that he moved into a new position (like head down) that is making his movements less intense or making it feel like you have more space. But I have called my doc more than once just to ask about this kind of thing because yeah better just to ease your mind. Sending you lots of good thoughts.

You have to remember when you are active and moving around. Working or walking around, you are rocking baby to sleep. It’s not until you are still or laying down, that you will feel baby being super active. At this stage we are in, baby is constantly doing small movements with the little space they have.. although we may not feel a lot of them. But they are. If you don’t feel baby even when laying down and not active then I would message your dr. But I feel there is no concern.

I’m a ftm and also not as far along as you yet, but I heard they kind of run out of room to move so kicks can get lighter/unable to be picked up! But again, maybe listen to the other more experienced moms 🙈

The pulses are probably hiccups!

that is a dangerous old wives tale.. babies move up until and even through labor. If you notice a big change in movements, you need to get it checked out.

Update: I think the baby was very lazy on Saturday lol weird… he is back to his routine. And yesterday my Dr. made me go to his office again to make sure everything was fine. I had an ultrasound. Baby still upside down (since last week) but he can still move if he wants to. I am 33 weeks today. And he only moves or I only feel his kicks and string movements in the right side of my abdomen (by the appendix) I know the appendix because I have a scar there from when I had it removed. Thank you all for your messages and advices 🤍🙏🏼

Oh and they also checked my cervix to make sure I everything was good. Thankfully everything is good 🙏🏼and yes, the pulses were hiccups. Poor guy he has a lot lately. But definitely I was advice to call if movements stop again and they don’t come back just to make sure everything is fine.
