Gripe water

My 3 week old has trouble passing gas & gets super fussy & uncomfortable, I’ve seen reviews of babies getting rashes or vomiting with gripe water so I’m a little iffy about trying it. I’ve also seen people use the frida windi, has anyone else tried these methods? Most recommend to do the gripe water when they’re at least a month old, but I’ve seen reviews of people doing it anyway so I’m stuck😵‍💫
