I am trying to conceive and only started a couple of months ago. What’s your experience with ovulation tests? Did they work for any of you?

Hi I did not with my first it took 9 months and then with my second I did but I felt personally like it was a waste of time, if it’s going to happen it’ll happen that’s I believe x

Used them with both of my pregnancies, I totally understand why some people don’t use them, especially at the start of ttc, but I wanted to know we were giving it our best shot! Very lucky to fall pregnant very quickly each time, and I do think that’s because we timed sex around my fertile window! We don’t have the time or energy to maintain sex very frequently across my whole cycle, so could have easily missed the important days.

I didn't use them with my first, just had sex every couple of days and got pregnant in a couple of months. Used them this time as I'm 34 now and wanted to get pregnant quickly, got pregnant first cycle. I made sure we had sex every other day from when I could be approaching ovulation (starting cd21 for me) ovulation day and day after then could stop. Definitely recommend testing if sex every other day is a bit of a chore 😂

I think they’re most useful for people who have irregular cycles. However, if your cycle is generally regular then I don’t think they’re necessary although can be useful to check whether you are actually ovulating.

They are good for me because from using them I found out I ovulate on cycle day 12 not 14 so it did help xx

Thank you ladies. All your comments are helpful!
