I usually don't take shots. Don't think I ever had a flu shot. But since babies are not vaccinated before they turn 2 months old (at least where I live), I wanted to make sure he gets all the boost he can to fight off any infections. Whooping coughs are very dangerous for babies. So I did take it and bcs it was flu season I was like why not get that too. Didn't get the COVID vaccine though.

thank you & what were your symptoms after you got the whooping cough vaccine?

I don't think I had any symptoms. Not even sore arms. 😅 But for some reason few days later the pharmacy called my husband to see if I was doing ok. I was so confused why they didn't just called me 😆

Had the whooping cough on Friday, the only symptom I’ve had is a slightly tender arm. Got it as it helps protect baby until they can have their 8 week vaccines. I’m not too fussed on the flu vaccine as it doesn’t get passed to baby and I’m fortunate to very rarely get ill. I won’t be getting the covid vaccine x

Had the flu and whooping cough. Wanted to protect baby with the whooping cough before she gets her first vaccinations, just as whooping cough is seriously on the rise and don't want to take chances as its 8 weeks of her being exposed. Flu as I suffer with chest infections anyway and it can cause increased risk of pneumonia in pregnancy so didn't want to risk it. Personally chose not for covid mainly because I've had my 2 and a booster already and didn't see the need.
So glad I got my flu as my husband got the flu and was really ill and I didn't even get so much as a cold being around him!

My first pregnancy I got 0 vaccines, I was horrifically scared of needles that’s why I never got them, until I had to have loads of blood tests. Second pregnancy now I still refuse to have any vaccines and told my midwife that straight

I decline every vaccine and will never get one even not pregnant. My son got one shot at his 2 or 3 month appointment because they pressured me and he screamed at the top of his lungs all night long like he never had before. I absolutely refuse to put any vaccines in my sons body or my future children. @justtheinserts and @shotinthedarkdw Instagram and podcast. She does a really deep dive on every vaccine and all of the background on each one so we can understand the full picture.

I had 1 covid jab after i had my daughter thats bec i needed to get it to travel. Luckily we have been fortunate enough to WFH and also extra careful about visitors in the house - limited still, wesr masks and sanitise when out. We have relaxed the mask wearing etc as i take toddler to group daily now but once baby is born i will be a bit strict about visitors etc for a few months after birth just to be on the safe side

I had the Whooping cough with my daughter and also with this pregnancy- sore arm for a day near injection site & no other symptoms both times i had it. I chose to net get the flue jab with either pregnancies. I had the whooping cough bec i have seen the effects of whooping cough on their tiny bodies so decided its best to protect LO.
My babies have had/ will have all vaccines offered inc Vit K at birth.
