Best toddler formula?

Hi there. Mom of a 14 month old here.
I have been feeding my baby breast milk and Enfamil formula. Now I started seeing posts about Enfamil containing heavy metals and I freaked out.. but the more research I do, the more I realize that ALL formulas have flaws. Is there one that you would recommend? I heard that Kobrita was great, but I found an article from November 2023 that they changed their formula and now it is making kids sick. Ugh.. help please 😵‍💫

Once your baby becomes a toddler, you are supposed to switch them to whole milk bc they don’t need formula anymore

SERENITY KIDS 1000%!!!! I LOVE their formula. It can smell a bit kelpy for some with their kelp powder in it…. but their quality is bar none compared to anything else I’ve found!! I think it kinda tastes fishy myself but my baby LOVES it! No industrial seed oils, no canola oil base. Olive oil, and coconut only and a fraction of sustainable palm oil. Tested and verified by the clean label project for over 200+ contaminants. Uses A2 grassfed cow milk 🐂 (has a softer protein chain than Holstein cow milk 🐄 that’s easier for digestion. I’ve had my baby on it since 6 months and he LOVES it and still drinks a lot of it instead of regular cow milk at 13 months! American based, in Texas, small family owned and formulated with the fact that so many formulas and baby products out there are so toxic for our babies by the way they’re formulated! 11/10 highly recommend.

Since my daughter was an infant I used Holle formula from Europe. It was much cheaper and healthier. I also used Enfamil Gentlease with my first child. Now that my daughter is 1, I get the Holle Toddler formula available at Whole Foods

Toddler formula is a marketing gimmick and, for most kids, completely unnecessary as they are able to get all necessary nutrients from their meals. Switch to whole milk or whatever milk you regularly drink at home

Thank you all for the feedback!
He is not a picky eater. Loves veggies and fruit. I should have mentioned that he drinks the formula twice a day, in the very morning and before nighttime.

I don’t drink cows milk, only soy milk. Now I need to research if that is ok for the LO. Also, do you mix it with anything, or just straight milk?

You can continue to breast feed. That’s all they need but if you want a formula not sure which one is best. Mine is on a plant based toddler formula and ripple milk

I don’t mix it with anything. From the research I’ve done and the recommendations from her pediatrician, all of the nutrition/fats that toddlers need for brain development can come from cows milk, as well as food obviously

I only drink soy milk as well. So I had my LO on it. After about a month he had bad diarrhea every night so we switched to a plant based formula and he is fine now. But every baby is different so try new things until something sticks

we dont do cows milk in our house, we are not vegan but cows milk disgusts me knowing how it’s “produced”. I wonder if soy milk or other plant based milk compares to toddler formulas.

thank you for the comments!
I guess only way for me to find out is try it out in small doses. What plant based formula do you use?

Avatar

Btw soy milk is the closest to cow’s milk

Avatar

Toddlers actually need WHOLE milk for brain development at least 16 oz a day of it

If you don’t do cow’s milk, do soy. Thats what my 14 month old has to drink.
