Pumped breast milk quantity
Hi!
How many oz of breast milk are your babies taking when you give a bottle? I read it should only be 4oz of breast milk and he seems content after that amount at the time but he’s now back on the boob 40mins later!

4-5oz currently; it varies though and is sometimes only 2-3. He takes the bigger bottle on days he’s gone longer between feeds.
My LO (13wks) is having closer to 5oz every 2/3hrs. But this is because she is sleeping alot longer at night time. So she has to fit in all her feeds during the day, hence shorter time between feeds.
My boy (14 weeks) is having 3.5oz every 2 hours in the day but will go 4-5hours between 7pm-7am. I've tried several times to give him a bit more to see if he'll go longer but he'll always stop at 3.5oz. 🤣
Thank you. Was the first time he’d had a bottle so will try 5oz next time. He’s a big boy so maybe needs slightly more x
