Sooner you do it, the better. My son had his done at almost 4 months he was hysterical. Get your gp to prescribe you numbing gel for the LO before hand, you’ll get one from the doctors clinic as a part of after care as well. Good luck

We used Dr Howlader too! But the numbing gel you can buy from your local pharmacy as well if GP doesn’t prescribe it x

did it hurt your baby and how long was he in a pain for… just scared for my little one he’s 8weeks

Ofcourse it will hurt they’re just like us however I found my son crying more so because he was the oldest baby in the clinic to have it done. Sooner you do it better it is because they get over it quickly. It’s daunting but get it over and done with. Regular bathing keeping the area clean after a poo and washing regularly helps a lot. Keep on top of Vaseline application on the nappy and the ring loosens and falls off. You’ll be fine I promise first day is emotional but it’s going to be ok x
