My son is two almost three and we’re accustomed to being out in nature and doing lots of things outdoors. A little nervous about the move because we came to visit for his interview and people were so stand offish even at the museum

South Windsor is a great place with a cute park, Swim and tennis Club, and walkable neighborhoods. About a 15-20 minute drive into Hartford but worth it.

Where are you moving from? Sometimes ppl can seem standoffish in CT but I feel like they are more real as well. There are a ton of safe towns around Hartford. I saw this website: https://www.thehomeschoolmom.com/homeschooling-in-connecticut/homeschool-organizations-support-groups/ None of town specific ones are too close to Hartford though. I know a lot of families that live in Bristol and work in Hartford. There are good and bad parts of Bristol though. Safer towns are the Farmington Valley (canton, avon, simsbury, Farmington), Rocky Hill, Cromwell, west hartford, South Windsor, Glastonbury. Although for a lot of these towns in CT you'll be paying so much in taxes for the awesome school systems that it may change your mind. They have some of the best schools in the country in my opinion.

Hi I’m moving from Miami, we’ve been in Miami for three years for my husband’s work training and originally from Northern California. We’re planning to make CT our forever home. We’re planning to homeschool until highschool, so I appreciate the homeschooling group link

Hi! I’m sorry you had a negative experience! Anywhere in Farmington valley is wonderful - Farmington, West Hartford, Simsbury, Avon, West Hartford etc
