Toddler suddenly stopped eating at daycare

Has anyone experienced this? My daughter was eating great and this is the second day, she hasn’t ate her breakfast or lunch at school. She will eat just fine at home. Looking for advice and if anyone has dealt with this. Thank you!

I found when there was a lot of pressure or attention paid to kids about not eating they would eat less. I am thinking of when I worked at a preschool abroad. In this culture food was huge so the helpers at the school would fuss over what the kids ate constantly and for some this was too much so they stopped eating at school. It might not be the case with your kiddo but maybe just tell them to not pay any attention to her while she’s eating and it may just go back to normal. And if there isn’t anything wrong with her medically don’t worry about it, she may just be distracted or not like the food at school 🙃 you never know. But to sum it up just don’t add anxiety to her situation, it won’t help.

could it be her molars? she could be in more pain in the mornings than in the afternoon

My toddler ate great up until he was 1.5. after that he stopped eating regular meals and just snacked on whatever food we gave him throughout the day. His pediatrician told me it was normal because he was more focused on playing or learning new things. Now that he's 2.5 hes starting to go back to normal and eat at his times. But like Grace said, if I pay too much attention or tell him to eat, he won't until I leave him alone. Sometimes I leave the room for a couple of minutes and come back to him eating so that may be what's happening.
