We’re TTC our first child.

What supplements do people recommend for men?

I’m worried my partner’s sperm health isn’t as good as it could be. I want easy ways he can improve it.

(I’m still working on getting him to put more effort into making harder changes)

For background: I am quite disappointed that my husband isn’t putting more effort into trying to be as healthy as possible for conception. He doesn’t exercise, he doesn’t eat well (but is eating better, but he’s fussy so eating fresh fruits and vegetables is very occasional), he has stopped drinking and smoking (he only ever smoked on a rare social occasion anyway), he isn’t taking any supplements. Meanwhile I have cut everything unhealthy out, don’t even drink caffeine, eating whole foods and am exercising regularly. He doesn’t seem to appreciate that his health matters at this stage. He hasn’t done any tests, because he hates going to the doctors, meanwhile I have done all my pre-conception tests and genetic tests and got flying colours. He’s a great husband in many ways, I’m not bashing him, he just isn’t as well read on pre-conception issues and thinks I’m being too over the top and using conception as an excuse to make him make the lifestyle and health changes I have always wanted him to make.
