Today I took my baby to get 4week check up and was concerned for the acne in her face m. She had this for almost a week now however her pediatrician says it’s dry skin and I should apply cream. It doesn’t make sense because I don’t touch her face at all let alone wet it unless it’s wiping her eye softly. Basically from what I got from the do otro is her acne can be something else but not baby acne. She suggested I use over the counter creams. I believe baby face is to sensitive to that. Also I was thinking my diet could contribute to her baby acne.. I was going to try tubby Todd but not sure if she would have a reaction to that

Baby acne is super common... if you breastfeed just gently apply some of the milk in the baby's face to help with that. And if you're concerned that it may be something more serious you can always go to a children's hospital primary care unit/wing - they have attendings and residents available to check the baby (it's an option if you're unhappy with your ped)
that’s why I was shocked she said it wasn’t baby acne. She said it’s from me not moisturizing her face

Yeah weird... I would put anything on baby's face for now. It's very early...
would you think tubby Todd will help?

Could be baby acne or eczema which common cause they don’t tell you about it cow milk sensitivity. If you’re breastfeeding stop drinking cow milk and yogurt and if baby is on formula give one for baby with sensitive stomach and see if that helps.

My pediatrician specifically said not to put any sort of moisturizers or lotions or creams on my baby's face. Baby acne is caused by the mom's hormones still being in the baby's system, and will go away on its own without you doing anything to it. It may take a few months, but that is normal.

I wouldn't use tubby Todd until they're like 3 or 4 months... their skin is so so sensitive. I would just keep the skin clean of any sort of milk and let it clear by itself. Of course that if it gets bad enough to use some sort of product the pediatrician will let you know, but I personally would refrain of using any product. Let me know how this goes for you, sending love 🫶
that’s what I’m confused about is how the pediatrician suggested me to use cerave on babies face

I used Tubby Todd on my babe at 2 weeks old, his skin cleared within 2 days. I have super super sensitive skin and break out to many lotions/ointments but I did not break out to Tubby Todd nor did my baby seem bothered by it.
