My just turned 1 year old started daycare in November with no issues. Fast forward to now and we have currently missed almost a full 2 weeks because of illness - Fevers, colds, coughs ect. It feels like it never ends. It’s always something.
Anyone else experiencing this?! 😔

Yes, my baby has been sick off and on since October. Her Dr. says that Oct - February is really hard at daycare with February being the worst month. BUT, there’s hope! My baby started daycare last July when she was just 4 months old and she was never sick until the end of October so it really is the season. As Spring approaches, the illnesses let up some. Hang in there mama!

Yes!!! My daughter (1 year) got a cold the day after her bday… it’s almost been 2 weeks. Runny nose and cough. Just won’t go away. She’s was super sick between Thanksgiving and Christmas… 2 viruses and ear infections. It’s been tough.

This is normal. It can take up to a year sometimes 2 for their immune systems to fully adjust. It’s all the new germs and new people. Even adults who start working in a daycare get sick a lot for the first few months.

Totally normal and super annoying! The good news is that daycare babe often grow into super resilient kids and tend to get sick less once they're in school where missing days is much more impactful for their education. Hang in there! ❤️
