I exclusively BF my LO she’s 5 months and I know I need to keep a high intake of calories to not affect my supply but equally I would like to lose some weight. I’d say my target is around 5kg? So I’m thinking the only way is to increase my exercise? Is anyone in the same position?

I'm EBF and my LO is 5 months, so same boat

I feel like I’m addicted to eating sweet things to at the moment which before I was pregnant I didn’t eat too many sweet things. But now I crave chocolate, cakes etc 🫣

I feel so bad as 2weeks after giving birth I was nearly back to my normal weight but now after 5months I have an extra 4-5kg on. I’m blaming tiredness as I also got addicted to chocolate. I don’t like coffee and feel need energy from a bit of a sugar rush.
I used to do keto diet but now I worry it would affect my milk supply as I’m EBF

aww I’m exactly the same! I lost pretty much all my weight straight away. Was close to getting back into jeans I’d say about 8 weeks post partum. But now I’ve put about 5/6 kg on . Definitely from sweet stuff as when I’m busy all day I just end up snacking on unhealthy stuff like you say for energy cos I don’t drink coffee and usually just drink water

yep, I must have a bunch of chocolate always available and I finish dinner and an hour later I'm wondering what sweet things I have

I’m thinking I’m gonna from Monday just keep an honest food diary for the week and just eat how I would and then try and tackle the snacking either with a more filling main dish or healthier snacks 🫣

that sounds good, I was going to start going for walks cause there's lots of hills and fields here which make good exercise terrain but it won't stop raining 🙃 I need to find motivation and time where I can do home exercises instead but keep putting it off 🤦♀️
