First Period After Birth

I haven't given birth yet, but here's what my Google search says:

"Both pregnancy and childbirth trigger significant hormonal changes in your body, and it takes time for hormones to normalize after delivery. This fluctuation can contribute to changes in your uterine lining and blood vessels, resulting in a heavier period flow."

Can you elaborate on how you didn’t bleed for the first weeks? Like you didn’t have any pp bleeding?

My first two after giving birth were much heavier than they were before I got pregnant. My cycle was also messed up so I had two more close together than my usual cycle but then it seemed to get back to pre-pregnancy after that

Mine was absolutely ridiculous. If you’re due for a PP check id bring it up then, or if you’re concerned to any degree call your GP
