Does your Nov 2021 baby answer questions properly e.g. What did you do at nursery today? Who did you play with today? What did you have for lunch?
Will they answer these questions (I mean as basic as - play cars, pasta, etc
Sorry if this question didn’t make sense lol but trying to work out what’s average for this age

Sometimes, but I think it depends on the question, their mood at the time ect, they still don’t have the attention spans for it. And to be honest if the answer is just yes, I take it with a pinch of salt haha

Yeah my son does pretty much, he can tell me who his friends are and what he did with them. He talks in full sentences most of the time!

No, he's non verbal with no receptive communication

Sometimes my son will tell me that he plays with cars, trucks etc but sometimes he won’t say anything else if I say to him have you ate he will say yeah but other than that he don’t say a lot x

My daughter does but she was a very early talker. Some of her friends are still pretty non verbal … they are all still young and develop at different rates so I would try not to compare (I know it’s difficult!!)
If you are worried speak to your health visitor they will hopefully put your mind at ease or point you in the right direction for any help if needed x

Yes but I’ve got no idea if she’s telling the truth or just making it up 🤣🤣

Our little boy has really only found some words over the last couple of months so we’re not into proper sentences yet!

No..she says words and sentences are just babble

Yeah he does and when I check with nursery they say he’s right. However when his dad asks him the same thing later on in the day he’s usually forgotten by then 😂😅

For a while he’s been able to say what he had for breakfast and who he’s seen at nursery. He ran out yesterday saying I drew picture, for you daddy, for you mummy (I was thinking that’s super sweet as his daddy is in the military and currently deployed). Then later I asked him what did you do at nursery today? He said… I said oi, you sit on the chair! 😱🙈

My son doesn’t go to nursery but when his dad gets home and asks what we did today he’ll say things like ‘park’ ‘play’ ‘ride horse’ ‘water’ depending on what we did the most of that day.’
Same at playgroup, when the lady comes to talk to him he’ll answer her but it’s often made up. The other day she asked and he did yesterday and he said ‘cook cake’. Idk where that had come from but we sure as hell had not cooked or eaten any cakes that weekend 😅

Yeah I’d say the majority of time he can answer these questions and occasionally his memory surprises me! Still talks about banging his head with a girl at nursery! Calls her josiejumps cause they banged heads when they were jumping! However, some days it’s like talking to a window! It’s still mood dependant!

Yes, and sometimes we get more information than we wanted, for example today we asked her who she played with and she said “Chloe! She eats her boogers!”

Yes confidently answers questions

Not really. He does 2 sometimes 3 word sentences but he would not answer that if I ask

this is hilarious!! Last week we got “I did poo at nursery. Angela (his teacher) need gloves on” 😂😂😂😂

Yes she loves to share what she did and who she was with for the day

Not really, sometimes he tells me what he ate or who he played with but I don’t know if that’s really what has happened as often contradicts his care diary - I think he he just says what he can think of in the moment. Seems quite normal for their age!
