Hi, I was told that period after miscarriage was coming back after 4 or 6 weeks but my miscarriage ended 2 weeks ago and I'm bleeding with light cramps which indicates I have my period. Is it normal or there might be a problem? Thanks.

it definitely seems odd that you would get your period that soon afterwards. Do you have irregular periods usually? I would say contact your doctor just in case

yes I've always had regular period. I just had a swab yesterday because I suspect vaginal infection but right now it really looks like my period is here. Result of the swab in one week, it's too long... I might phone the doctor tomorrow.

For me when I had my miscarriage back in 2022 of the beginning of December after I thought it was done I had on and off bleeding beginning of January it was due to tissue being stuck so they had to check that on an ultrasound to see they were doing my hcg levels every 2 days to see if it was going down and it was going down really slow and it was because of that. If you have tissue stuck they will most likely give you the abortion pill to release the rest !

Hi Daria, I haven't got the results yet, it should be today... The bleeding lasted only one day and just blood in vaginal discharge for the following 2 days. I think it might have been left over of the miscarriage after all. I did some research though and it says that when you miscarriage at a very early stage your period can be back as soon as 2 weeks after. But if you still have a HCG at 20 I would say it's not your period but I'm not an expert... The midwife made me take a pregnancy test to see if it was negative. She said if it's negative that means everything is out. I feel like everything is back to normal in my body. Still waiting for my "real" period to start. I hope it all goes well for you x

Yes, my first chemical pregnancy was the same. My HCG didn't want to go down for a while so I had checks regularly. Sometimes it takes more time to get everything out. I felt like this one took forever and it's so exhausting to bleed constantly for so long. I hope it will be over soon for you🤞
