Just found I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced as of my appointment today! I wasn’t dilated or effaced at all at my last appointment so I’m getting pretty excited 🥰🥰 I know dilation doesn’t always mean labor is near, but it does make me happy that my body is doing what it’s supposed too. I can’t wait to meet my girl!

How did they figure this out did they check cervix or ultrasound?

Is that the normal time when they check it? I’m 35 weeks and they haven’t checked mines yet

I was offered a cervix check starting at 35 weeks and a few days, it just really depends on your OB and your circumstances with baby! I know some people who got a check at 32 weeks

No, I personally am not a high risk pregnancy or had any complications, they just offered to start checking me since I’m close to term.

every OB is different. My OB won’t start offering until 38 weeks but I know other practices where they start offering at 32 or 35

I’m 36 +5 days I thought I was getting one done today at my appointment but my obgyn said he will start next week when I’m 37wks+ since I’m start going in each week now. I think it depends on ur doctor

Anyone who’s had their 2nd baby, when did you go into labour compared to your first?

I’ve just discovered the nub theory and this is my 4th baby. Anyone take a guess?

SPPH (secondary postpartum haemorrhage) due to retained placenta -D&C?

Looking to see if anyone else has experienced this? Currently trying to pass retained tissue ( 4 weeks pp) and finding every day so exhausting just constantly waiting and checking my bleeding. I stopped bleeding on week 2.5/3 then bleeding picked up last Saturday and I haemorrhaged on Thursday morning with a rush to hospital. Everyday since I’m waking up scared I’ll be bleeding out. Worried to go toilet to check, I’m not convinced I’ll be passing it naturally and I’m worried I’ll need a D&C… has anyone had this? My retained tissue is 2cm so they said it’s small but I have no signs of passing it or blood changing colour to show slowing down.

Anyone use the owlet sock for newborn? Is it worth the price and what are some pros / cons?

39 weeks pregnant FTM

39 weeks baby hasn’t come yet and I am just full of anxiety. I am trying to relax. I am trying to chill, but I can’t chill. I do not want to be induced. I would love to have her natural. Issue is I am tight down there and petite and baby is measuring big like the head especially. I know that measurements can be off. But I have photos! And she is a chunk. This is so unpredictable. How do I just put my faith forward and trust in God and how do I let go of this anxiety? I am doing fine and then boom it hits me and I want to ball my eyes out. I am trying to treat myself and do little things but driving or doing anything is so hard now and I’m so huge and uncomfortable …I’m at my breaking point 😭

Confused Over Test Result

My heads pretty blagged about this atm. I’ve had spotting & some cramping but of the 2 tests I’d have expected the clear blue one to be most accurate. Any advice?
