Whooping cough vaccine pain
I got the jab yesterday. Obviously I'm not saying I regret getting it or anything, but jesus Christ. I've had every vaccine I've been offered, COVID, cervical cancer, the meningitis booster, flu, COVID booster, everything. Not one has hurt like this absolute nightmare.
My arm aches constantly especially if I move it, I can't even pet my cat!! I thought I was doing something smart by getting it in my right arm so I could sleep on my left but jesus Christ. Also I'm exhausted (could be just pregnancy, even though my energy has returned this last week or so) and have a mild headache (could also be pregnancy, although not a symptom I've had before). The site of the infection is red, slightly swollen and warm to the touch. I would very much like to blame the nurse who injected me if possible, but has anyone else had this with the jab? I fully support getting it, feeling unwell for a couple of days is nothing compared to what it does for my boy but jesus Christ.

Omg I had mine a week ago and my arm still feels numb from it!!! Definitely didn’t feel like this with the Covid or flu jabs
Yes- my arm hurt for a week after!
When should I be offered this? I’m 25 weeks xx
my midwife talked about it as soon as my booking appointment but you should be offered it after 16 weeks. My antenatal clinic had posters around advertising to get it around the same time as the 20 week scan but they were out of the vaccine. If you haven't been offered, definitely get in touch with your midwife or GP!
I had it in one arm and the flu jab in the other, didn’t even know I’d had the flu jab but whooping cough one was really sore!
For balance, and not at all to minimise your experience, I had the whooping cough and flu vaccines done at the same time and on each arm — and it was fine. People react to vaccines and/or injections really differently.
I had whooping, covid and flu and both my arms were soooo sore but whopping was worse x
