NST!

Nst question here!

So all my nsts have been normal but this weeks I had a scare. So baby was super active like rolling around like crazy heart rate looked good but all of sudden while he was moving like crazy heart rate dropped to like 25-50’s it’s almost sounded like it was flat lining or idk just super strange. Idk if It was because he moved and the signal was getting lost and the machine wasn’t picking up his heart beat?

So the doc redid and then everything was perfect. Stable rate in the 140s and 150s with accelerations with movements.

I was super scared and asked doc. She said machine probably picked up my heart beat since he was moving around or yeah lost signal because she’s like the drops didn’t connect, there was like a break in the chart. And she said new chart when we redid looked amazing

But I am still so scared. Scariest thing watching it. But my gut was telling me it was like loosing signal as baby was rolling around. But can’t help but be anxious and worried

i had Nsts starting at 34weeks up until i delivered and i can say this happened all the time for me baby would move around or sink down further into my back and it caused the machine to not read correctly at times so it is likely thats what happened. if baby is still moving around and being active currently i wouldn’t be too concerned ☺️ those monitors on the machine can also be very finicky at times lol

Okay glad I’m not the only one! I was going to cry! The doc was not worried at all, because when it was redone it was all normal. But I’m still an anxiety ball lol she was saying there was a break in the recording. So she thinks it just captured my heartbeat since baby was moving like crazy lol

Yeah, they really have to chase the baby with those monitors sometimes. I had them from 35 weeks on and it happened all the time.

those monitors were so bad during labor i got to try out a new bluetooth monitoring system and it was soooo much better 😂

hi mama! i wouldn’t worry, especially if the doctor didn’t bat an eye :) ive also had nst and a fetal monitor on me during labor and the monitor was ALWAYS flat lining like that and it was because the monitor moves around on your belly and the nurses had to constantly readjust it to get it on the right spot for me. this would happen especially when im adjusting my position or baby switches sides (sometimes baby only likes a certain spot or side!)

140's - 150's is good from my understanding, and i know that it is also okay for it to jump around a little bit but not super extreme like a very low to high
