Baby doesn’t want to eat???

My baby has always been bottle fed. I give her Enfamil (yellow can) and never had an issue with it. She is 5 months old and just doesn’t want to eat anymore. We’ve upgraded nipples recently and I even tried changing the temp of the formula. She just straight out refuses to drink.

I’ve tried a straw sippy cup and I think she’s still too little to understand how to use it.

I did start purees at 4.5 months as her Dr said it was okay and she has no issue eating that. I only give her once a day.

Anyone else have this issue or have any recommendations what I can do??

Did the doctor say she can have solids yet?

yes!

I’ve definitely noticed my daughter is lacking interest in bottles but will happily accept food instead. We feed her solids once or twice a day. She hasn’t refused her bottles all together but will drink like one or two ounces instead of her normal 6-7

And did the doctor say not more than once a day? She might just prefer solids more, or she is getting enough calories from solids.

I’m only giving her purées once a day. But I should ask the dr if I could give her more than once a day. She only wants what me and my husband are eating and drinking lol but she can’t eat that stuff yet

She will be 5 months on the 29th

and what do you feed her if you don’t mind me asking?

Tedious, but you could try to spoon feed her the formula. My coworker has trouble with her daughter taking a bottle and that's what she does

I dont think it would hurt to ask the doctor if you could. They will ask if she is tolerating the solid food first. They normally want once a day to see if they can tolerate it.

She also does the Enfamil yellow can

I think if you start this early with solids she still does need mostly milk just like a 6 monther would. Maybe try kendamil formula at target? She may just need an upgrade now that her palate is expanding and that’s a great milk I might add! You could also try feeding her in a different position or on a different schedule. Hope that helps!
