I have been advised to wean at 4-5 months by health professionals, so please no wait until 6 months.
But people who weaned at this age, what did you do?
Porridge once a day for a couple of weeks then purées in the evening?
When my LG is 6 months I want to follow BLW, so will transition then… but I would just like some constructive help on what to feed before then.
Thank you.

We did at 5 months.
I think we started with baby rice made with formula. Just a few spoons a day and half a pouch of puree throughout the day slowly x

We went full BLW at 6 months too and no issues with adjusting to that from purees. She loved the same old baby porridge till she was over a year old.

I would go back to those health professionals and ask them what and how much and how often as it will likely depend on why they have advised early weaning

I done purées and then moved to porridge

We started around 5 months I think, we started with the shop purées (Ella’s kitchen etc) and slowly increased to ones with bits in when we were comfortable to and thought our daughter could manage. Also started giving a bit of porridge to get used to the different texture and even now at 10 months we just go with our guts and help her when necessary x

Formula? That’s way to young to give solids.

did you even read the question?
I would say it depends on why you have been asked to wean early. Personally I will be weaning with puréed veg to begin with. Apparently fruits can cause them to want only sweet things. I don’t think I will go down the baby rice/baby porridge road as they seem quite highly processed. Maybe some porridge made from blended oats to make it more baby friendly?
