Success stories of increasing milk supply?

Are there any moms out there who have successfully increased their milk supply? I used to make 4 ounces now I’m hardly making 2 ☹️☹️☹️☹️

I tried power pumping and eating all the recommended foods and drinking tonnes of water. For me, pumping after breastfeeding and then storing away the pumped milk helped increase my supply within a few days when my baby was about 3 months and again when she was about 7 months. Give it a try and see if that helps!

I pumped every 3 hours for 20 minutes and made sure to get lots of skin to skin for 30 minutes each time. Now I pump after breastfeeding as well, but I’m not the exclusive feeder, I always needed to pump so there was a supply for my baby even while away at school. I found keeping to a schedule and pumping every 3 hours even if he wasn’t hungry is what really increased supply. Good luck!

Pumping also worked for me. You can also try extending nursing sessions by switching between breasts more. My daughter likes to fall asleep nursing she needed that physical movement to remind her that she was doing something. Also it's worth considering that you may already be producing enough. If weight gain is ok, you're LO may be getting what they need

I EBF and pumping after breastfeeding also worked for me! I had to do this once my LO turned 4 months old. It only took a few days for my supply to increase. I also made sure to eat enough calories for the day as well as stay hydrated!

Yes! I would soak a tablespoon of fenugreek seeds over night and would drink it as tea one or two times per day. My sweat smelled like the very distinct smell of fenugreek, but it worked to increase my supply. You can buy the seeds in bulk online or at an Indian market. It’s cheaper than buying the lactation teas (where fenugreek seed is typically the main ingredient anyways). I’m not a doctor…but was recommended this by several people and it worked!

Fenugreek seed work for me too and lots of water

I made sure i was eating enough food like meals/cooked food. Also i would nurse more frequently and keep switching sides. That helped me alot.

I’m a low supplier in general and my typical output is like 2-3oz. I’ve been using items from Avery’s Lactation Station and it’s helped bump my normal output to 5+! I’ve even had days where I pumped 9-10 oz which seems like a TON for me! I definitely recommend it! There are items available right now that are some of the strongest available! I highly recommend checking it out! Averyslactationstation.org You can use discount code gold10 for 10% off your first order!

Homemade Lactation cookies!!

We had a lot of breastfeeding challenges due to some poor advice and a tongue tie, so I've had to boost my supply from almost nothing multiple times. Power pumping (pump for 20 minutes, rest for 10, pump for 10, rest for 10, pump for 10) helped the most. Also pumping in the middle of the night (between 11pm and 4am) helped quickly boost supply. It really sucks but this is when your prolactin levels are highest so your body will boost your supply much more than pumping later in the day (afternoon/evening when prolactin levels are at their lowest).

My little guy was in the first percentile for weight (and 99th for height). I was alone and it was scary because he looked like a skeleton but on the phone everyone said that I was doing everything right with feeding on demand and that it would with. Because of covid protocols at the time, nobody saw him until it had gotten so bad. I did power pumping and triple feeding for multiple months. It worked but it was so hard without help because it's time consuming and physically draining. I'm sorry you're in this situation. I do not recommend it to anyone else, but I would probably do it again nonetheless.
