Hi all. Just wondering if there are any insurance companies here in the UK that cover breast pump costs? (I’ve heard insurances in the US, Germany etc cover it) Is it a thing here too? Has anyone managed to get it?

It’s down to medical insurance. In the uk because we have the NHS you wouldn’t necessarily need private medical insurance on top. However you can try things like BUPA, AXA, vitality etc but you would be paying a premium for this and it possibly wouldn’t cover breast pumps anyway. If anything speak to your home insurance provider and see if they cover breast pumps under your contents section, if they do add it to that but again may possibly be a waste of time

I doubt it. I have private in uk through work and this wouldn’t be covered. Breast pumps aren’t that expensive (relative to the cost of health insurance). We got one on sale for £60 which I’m happy with (and I have access to medela symphony at work, but prefer my £60 one).
