Full time mummies 🖐️

Hi all :) I’m currently on maternity leave but wondered how many of you returned to work full time after having your little ones? I’m a store manager and the thought of only spending 2 full days a week with my little man makes me sad but doing anything less is just not affordable for us. Please tell me I’m not alone!

I’m still on may leave but I’m going back end of March as my dad and sister work from home so they have offered to have her the 4 days I work each set of shifts as can’t bare to live of £350 a month 🤣

I’m not going back full time. I used to work 5 days a week. I’ve cut it down to 3 days a week but I’m doing more hours in them 3 days if that makes sense. Is this possible for you? X

So even thought I won’t see her as much throughout the day, she will still be with family that she loves being around which makes me feel better about going back to work x

I went back to work as a store manager doing 4/4.5 days a week (every other sat morning) I'm just starting mat leave for my second and intend to do the same xx

I went back full time after my first and will for my second, I have to for my role and for the pay we need. My husband has a day off in the week, my mum has them another day and 3 days nursery. I go back a day a week after 3 months and increase up to full time gradually by 12 months x

Both my husband and I work 5 days a week so our boy is full time in nursery and has been since 13 months old (now 27 months). He loves it, they follow a curriculum so he is doing new activities and learning new things every day, and I think being around other children helps his social skills (he is an only child). It was difficult at first adjusting to it but I wouldn't want to go part time. He loves nursery and I like having that time for adult conversations and work. He's a very happy and affectionate little boy and we have a really close relationship, so being full time at nursery hasn't had a negative impact on our relationship.

I’m due to go back in September but have started an online business where I’ve just earned 4 figures in just under 2 months - out earning my maternity pay. I’m going to keep building it so I don’t have to return to work - there is other options, if you’re open to them x

Hi , have you considered maybe starting a side hustle, so that you can earn from home, around your little one, and alongside your job?

Avatar

no I haven’t… doing what? Do you do this? X

yes I do. I’ve been working with FM for nearly 3.5 years promoting (and using might I add 😊) fragrances, skincare, makeup, home scents, wellbeing etc. My inbox is always open for any further information 😊
