Black spot

My lo has had this spot in his mouth for just over two weeks now doesn’t seem to bother him but I’m concerned on what it could be, any suggestions?

My daughter was born with one in her tongue as well and they said it was a beauty spot she’s 3 and it’s still there just a little smaller
