Any teachers on here?
How are you finding working? I'm 30 weeks this week and I'm really struggling, physically aching all over after school.
When are you planning on going on maternity?

I’m a uni lecturer and massively struggling, especially with back ache and needing to walk around the campus to different lecture theatres. My line manager has asked how I am coping and I say I am fine because I don’t want to be a pain. Cannot take holiday during term time so trying to hold out until Easter. I will be 34 weeks when Easter break starts and 37 when it ends, so may start maternity then so I don’t have to go back afterwards (currently planned for 38 weeks) 😩

yeah, the aches are definitely the worst. I also don't want to be a pain or go early, but I've got no energy. I'm also trying to hold out until Easter, I will be 34 weeks then too

30 weeks on Friday, I’m a secondary school teacher and just can’t cope but need to hold out until 26th April x

Primary school teacher here and 30 weeks. Trying to hold out until the 19th April (coming back for a week after the Easter holidays) but already SO exhausted and uncomfortable all day 😖

I'm a teacher and 28 weeks. The past 2 weeks LO has been head down but back to back, and it is so painful. I'm classed as high risk, so I decided to go off at 35 weeks, so not much longer to go x

Couldn’t agree more with you ladies… I’m going to 19th April and already tiredness has kicked in….

I’m currently 28 weeks with my second and finding it so hard! Much harder than with my first. I’m non class based AHT which helps, I find my teaching afternoons hard work though. I’m hoping to get to 38 weeks, but right now that seems like 100 weeks away rather than 10!

Yes, primary teacher here and I ache in the evenings. My groin is also in agony from squatting down to work with the children at their desks.

I teach Year 3 and I’m 28 weeks - really starting to feel it now too!! The job is not built for pregnancy 😂
