Hi all! I’m due end of July this year with my first and starting to look into antenatal classes but feel quite overwhelmed by the choice! Can anyone recommend good ones they’ve went to, or ones to avoid? Thank you! ❤️

We went with bump and baby, so far so good! We have baby first aid next week and they give you lots of additional resources if that’s what you are in to.

We did NCT in Crouch End last year. A bit of a broader mix of parent ages, unlike some of my friends who did bump and baby. Interesting but no revolutionary. Other parents were all lovely ❤️

thank you, this is very helpful!

this is what I’ve heard about NCT too. Thank you !

we did Bump&Baby and wish we had saved the money 😅

I haven’t done any myself but really wondering if it’s worth the money?

oh really! How comes? Which location did you go to?

Wanted to do Bumb&Baby but was fully booked 9 months in advance ahaha was on a waiting list, with no luck.. I heard mixed reviews, but it was really close to my house lol
Ended up doing an holistic prenatal course with a doula, a kundalini yoga instructor and an obstetrician (it was online in italy) the best course ever!! We even added some hypnobirthing techniques, I was so relaxed by the time I went into labour that had a 3 day long labour with only gas&air... if you can find a doula around you, I highly recommend them!!!!

I wen't to the Crouch End one, our closest location was already booked out. That was actually part of the problem. The intent of Bump&Baby is that you have a group of people with babies the same age after that live close by and you can meet up again. Our group was lovely, as we don't actually live in Crouch End, too far away though. Also, our teacher was nice and knowledgable, however, wasn't super organised or skilled at teaching actually. It was hard to sit through the lessons 🫣

Thanks so much for your advice everyone!
