Milk ladder help please

Hi. We've just started step 1 of the iMAP ladder. Just wondering how long do you spend on each bit? How long do we give 1 biscuit before 2 etc and how long before we move onto step 2? We've been discharged from the dietician so not sure what to do

Does it not have directions on yours? On ours it says 3 days per step and then move onto the next step. Some are three days some are a week per step

@YazmynJade thats great thanks. no it just says start with 1 biscuit then increase to 2 and 3. So for step 1 would you do 3 days of 1 biacuit then if ok do 3 days of 2 biscuits etc?

I'd do one biscuit on day 1 2 on day two and three on day three if that's what it says to do and if no reaction after that then move to step two. It's bizarre they've given you the milk ladder then discharged you usually they follow up a few times during it

That's great thanks! To be honest they were rubbish. We had 1 phonecall for his egg allergy another for his milk. Told to start the ladders when he was 1. A few weeks before he was 1 got the ladders in the post and a letter to say we had been discharged and if needed any support to get re-referred!

That's awful I'd make a formal complaint to pals about it and get it escalated as that's not okay! We have a check in mid ladder and then granted we do have an additional allergy to do a ladder for but we have an appointment at the expected end of the milk ladder and then support for the ladder we need to do after xx

Honestly we started small and went really slowly as I was terrified of a reaction. We had a reaction on the second step and went back to the first for a few weeks and now we’re on the third step. It’s taking a while but I don’t mind as then I know she’s not reacting as I know it can take a few days for a reaction to show
