We started sleep training our LO about two weeks ago and it's been really successful so far, if she wakes up she takes under two minutes to settle back to sleep. However, I noticed today that she's got a runny nose and so I think she might be getting poorly. Do I bring her into my room now or continue to keep her in her room? Do I leave her to cry for two minutes to see if she settles or do I go in straight away? Not sure what to do in this scenario so any help would be appreciated!

I’ve always just stopped anything I’ve been doing when my little one has been poorly, I’d see how it goes, if she needs you she ll cry out more than usual and I’d just comfort more and get back on track when she’s 100% x

Agreed with the comment above. You can try to stick to your routine, but ultimately attending to your little one is more important than sticking to sleep training method when they’re sick. Do what you need to do to care for her and when she’s healthy again, you can resume sleep training.

Same. I wholeheartedly agree. And when she’s healthy and feeling better again she will know what to do to get back to sleep again in her own safe comfortable sleep space once again!
Thank you all for your tips! I started the night in her cotbed in her own room as normal but didn't need to go in at all, she slept quite well aha! Thank you again!
