How much screen time does your child(ren) get? I feel like it also matters if you’re a stay at home mom

Stay at home mom (mat leave still) and we are currently on our 4th cocomelon song while I’ve been tidying up and changing over laundry, etc. he’s losing interest as I type this so it’s almost over.
I find 10 ish mins I can run around and get as much done as possible. We only do this once a day, if that

My 26 month old has JUST started to be interested in tv - beauty, and the beast and bebefinn hold her attention, and that's all. I'd say in the last week we went from 2-3 minutes of interest to 10 minutes at a time. We've done this at most 3 times a day, and she's already starting to whine and beg for baby 🙄. So we might have to start being mindful of it.
Im a SAHM, and we do keep the tv on most of the day for background sound, so news/music - but she doesn't ever pay attention to that.

our tv is on pretty much all day, kids movies, tv shows, dancing fruit. if i need to clean he’s watching tv tbh. his newest obsession is a thing of wipes 🤣 so he’s played with wipes a lot today.. 😅

None intentionally but our tv is also on most evenings on a sport of some sort so he watches that a little bit.

I am very strict on having zero screen time for my 5 month old. I have a rotation of different toys and light up things to keep her attention. It’s also good for babys to be bored. Sometimes I just let her lay there and play with her hands. I don’t even like the TV to be on if I know she’s going to try and watch it

@Elannah do you have any low stim show recommendations ?

@Elannah thank you!

None! Except we’re planning on some screen time when we go on a flight next month. Fingers crossed that will help prevent any meltdowns.

My 5 month old barely sleeps during the day. I play with her as much as I can but I’ve got to get stuff done so I let her watch black and white sensory or dancing fruit videos on YouTube for about 10-15 minutes and in that time I’m able to get whatever task done.

We don't screen time at all. We do not turn on our TV. It's really rare that we show 2-3 minutes of our favorite cartoon, every time the same one

We don’t do TV at all since she started noticing it, if it’s on she stares at it and won’t do anything else. If we want to watch a show or something we put her in a little sit up piano chair and face her towards us where she can’t see the screen until it’s over
