I flew with mine at 3 months. Baby wear through the airport, you can check a stroller and car seat for free at the gate but you will have to put them through the security belt so the stress of fighting with straps in line may be a lot. Bottle at take off and landing to help with popping ears. expect a blowout because air pressure can mess with their bellies apparently. We got lucky and our baby slept through the turbulence because he was so young and still sleeping most the day. Remember flying is public transportation and if your LO cries it will be ok, you and your baby deserve to travel. You got this!

Use gas drops before takeoff and landing. I didnt bring a car seat and I wish I did. I used one from the rental car place and they dont install it for you! Baby wearing while going through security is much easier.
Get tsa precheck if you can

My girl is 8 months old and has been on 5 trips already. Baby wearing is your friend. Gate check stroller and car seat. Ask if there are any open seats so you can bring the car seat onboard for naps. Pack light for carryon. Take an extra shirt for each adult and a change or two for baby plus plenty of diapers and wipes. Have a couple new toys to introduce in the flight. Snacks and water cup also.

If you're bringing a carseat on the plane for baby, they will expect you to pay for that seat, just a heads up. I've flown with my baby 12 times now, and I've had her on my lap every time (a boppi pillow is highly recommended for that). Prepare a bottle right before the plane, it'll help with ear popping/etc. It'll likely just put your LO to sleep. If you need hot water or anything on the flight, the attendants are usually very accommodating. I usually have a couple toys in immediate reach since my bahy has been awake for the past few flights. It's perfectly fine to walk up and down the isle to soothe your baby if you need to when the seat belt light is off. And what I've learned is I feel WAY more stressed about my baby, her behavior, and other people's comfort than other people do. Most people are really chill, and even helpful. Try not to stress, but I know it's inevitable 😂 good luck!
