Baby Shower Disappoint
My mom insisted on throwing me a baby shower. I was hesitant but finally got excited about it. I have had less than 10 people rsvp; one of which my best friend who called this evening to tell me she wouldn’t be able to make it. I feel like my mom has wasted money throwing me a shower when it seems like no one is going to show up. I have been so lonely and this just shows me how many friends who I would drop anything for who aren’t interested in celebrating me in this exciting time. I’m not sure how to hide my disappoint from my mom when no one shows. Feeling like a huge loser.

Hang in there and appreciate the people who do turn up. It can be hard but the people that come and your mum will be there just for you so take that in and enjoy the limelight and being spoiled for the day xx
Aww I’m so sorry to hear this! It sounds hard! 😔 I can just offer a reminder that everything is temporary and things are always changing. So, just because this is happening now, it doesn’t mean that it will be like this forever.
I only had four friends at my baby shower so know this feeling. The rest were all family to make up the numbers and even then I only had just over 10! It makes you feel really shitty but it’s only because it highlights it. Personally I don’t notice most of the time. Four good friends is better than 20 shit friends ❤️
Things like this really hurt me too. I had similar feelings for my bridal shower and wedding. It’s hurtful and those feelings are valid. My best advice is to shift your focus to the people that DO want to be there and celebrate you. Even if it’s 10 people, it’s 10 more people than other people have, so there’s always a silver lining
When is your baby shower? I'd love to know how it goes. 🙏 Try to remember and be grateful that someone offered to and is throwing you a shower and that quality over quantity of friends is most important.
the baby shower is March 10th. after sleeping I feel a bit better about things.

I'm glad to read that. Honestly, I just had my baby shower this past Sunday and had many worries leading up to it. It's safe to say that I was very surprised from the outcome and I hope the very same and more for you.
Baby shower update! Thanks for all the advice and well wishes. Everyone was exactly right the people who showed up were the people who mattered and the friend who called to tell me she wasn’t going to show ended up coming still. All in all it was such an amazing day(:
