Road trip

Any tips for an 8 hour road trip with the little one? We went on the same trip when he was 5 months old and he did really well! I guess I’m just nervous now that he is actually crawling and loves to move. He won’t be able to when we’re in the car.

Sit in the backseat with him if you can -- crinkles for the seat so he can kick. Frequent stops listen we stopped at a wendys and there was grass and put a blanket down for LO to crawl and play and stretch. No one judges you - the world loves babies.

Love the suggestions above! We also brought a bag of different toys and would switch them out after stopping, so that baby's interest was held for longer.

On our trip she slept most of the time, also an 8 hour trip. She has her blanket and stuffy, I bring her favorite toys. She loves to ride with her window down. We listen to blues clues if she gets fussy. We stopped every 2.5ish hours to stretch if she was sleep we kept going.

We bought and activity center for each of our kids 3 and 6 months at the time. Charged iPads with downloaded movies and my 3 years old’s iPad we downloaded learning lessons from the learning apps we use . She had coloring books and plenty of snacks . We leave at bedtime so they sleep most of the way. We made 3 stops for gas … both kids did great . They’re getting used to it because we go on this trip 5 times a year
