Im in my second pregnancy 28 weeks and really struggling with PGP I’m going physio every 2/3 weeks who has given me crutches and i have to use at-least one and had to be given pain killers which i usually just save for sleeping.
Is any one else going theough same thing?
Also work still hadn’t done a risk assessment and i was really starting to struggle to be there on crutches (its only a desk job that does involve several trips to warehouse a day but not the most accessible office at all!) so my dr signed me off for 2 weeks - i am due to go back in a week and to be honest I am really not sure i should be!
I really dont think there will be a risk assessment as they have know about my pregnancy for 20 weeks now due to sickness and i have repeatedly asked for one, plus my manager has been making comments about all my appointments (physio, extra scans, tests and midwife) to the point that i am getting quite stressed about it hut also feel like I’m being made out to be a drama queen.
I dont know im second guessing myself alot atm this pregnancy is so full of anxiety and i just dont ever know what to do 🫣 just starting to feel like a burden on my husband as not managing alot thanks to pain and my poor little boys not getting the mama he is used to either xxx

Really sorry to hear that. I’m surprised your physio has suggested crutches and hasn’t been able to help more - do they specialise in pregnancy? If not might be worth getting a second opinion/finding another physio who does specialise?? Have they given you exercises to do at home to help with the pgp ? I’ve had some soreness in hips and seeing a physio but less painful than what you’re having / not as bad, more just twinges. Also it was worse earlier in pregnancy but it’s actually got better for me thanks to my physio. Re back to work, maybe ask them for an assessment/ adjustments? Also worth mentioning if you do get signed off again that lots of employers will start your mat leave early if you’re signed off work past a certain point in pregnancy, which you may not want, so worth checking your work’s mat leave and sick leave policies to see what they say. Hope you get some relief soon, sounds really painful and tough x
It’s physio at hospital so she does specialise i have exercises etc too but i have crutches due to the pain as-well to take pressure off when walking! My pelvis is like its been slammed with a Hammer most days, she actually asked if id had trauma but its possibly down to my little boy being stuck last pregnancy 🫣

I agree that private may be much better - whether physio or osteo. Im suspicious that they haven’t been able to do more for you, it doesn’t seem normal or fair to expect you to just put up with it. Hopefully seeing someone else can help, if you can throw some money at it so you get better support from another specialist and can be closer to being pain free x

So I have horrific PGP - I can barely walk - and my nhs physio has been absolutely useless. I bought a belt which helps a little (the one she sent was basically a piece of cloth and did nothing) and crutches don’t help me at all.My nhs physio suggested I try a private treatment as “nhs cuts mean we can’t help like we used to”. I had a chiropractor appt last week which helped but only really my back.She said she thought I may have pudenal neuralgia or lighting crotch (have a google) and recommended I try acupuncture instead.I saw a private physio today who also does acupuncture and it was a painful session but my god it helped!!!!!!
It was £65 but best money I’ve spent this far!
As for work. I work in HR and just wrote an article regarding antenatal appointments and risk assessments. You’re entitled to paid time off for antenatal appointments (inc travel) if recommended by a dr, midwife or other healthcare professional.Work should be doing regular risk assessments, ie monthly, and
