Question for formula milk babies

Hi mamas, how long do you usually wait until you give your baby a bottle. At the moment we’re feeding on demand still. Comes to a total of 800-1000ml in a day (normal range). But baby is eating little and often. Yesterday we had to make 9 bottles during the day as she would only have 70ml ever 1.5-2 hours. This is becoming quite wasteful and expensive. Wondering if we should wait for longer to offer her a bottle. Curious to hear from other mamas. Thanks x

My son is averaging 7 bottles a day and between 1000-1200ml, so has around 150 at a time. We do feed on demand but he has recently stretched this to a bottle every three hours.

We always feed at fixed times which works well for us. End of November he dropped the final night feed so now he’s on 5 bottles a day. 1 when we wake up at 07:00, 1 after each nap (he’s on 3 naps) and 1 at 19:00 and then straight to bed. We found having set times for naps, feeds and bedtime works best for us, as the on demand thing was just very confusing as I never knew if he was hungry, tired or if it was something else

My baby is taking 1000-1200 ml on a good day. He now finishes 210ml in one go and have 5-6 bottles spaced out every 5 hours.

Yes, do wait a little longer between the feeds. She would not be hungry at all if she finished a bottle of 180ml every 2,5-3 hours.

Ours is roughly 7am/8am bottle (depending on when she wakes up), 11am bottle, food at midday, 3pm bottle, food at 4pm, 6:45 bottle. So bottles are roughly every 4 hours and she has 7oz each feed
