Not necessarily social services will get involved
Council will ask you questions and discuss referring it to the referral team
But more for support
Which isn’t a bad thing
There are different levels / threshold of support and the referral team will discuss with you the referral and consider what level of threshold is met
Could be signposting to children’s centres one stop etc or preventative service or dependent on the level of risk they may send a social worker out
But you will be contacted for a discussion

I told the nurse and she had me talk to a social worker who called/Text a few days later to check on me. You chose wether or not to report it snd they reassured me that they wouldn't take my baby away. Thankfully I managed to leave a day or two later.

The council can help by offering housing. If I were you I would talk to the HV or at the next baby appointment. Please use every resource you have, family, friends and get out ASAP.

Even if your partner has not been physically abusive but threatened to or been verbally abusive that is enough for you to leave. Both the nurse and social worker told me that physical abuse Was the next step, not to leave him alone with the baby and to get out.
