Can strawberries cause a runny nose for Toddlers?
Hey mamas! My 18 month old isn't allergic to strawberries, though I've noticed he gets slight red spots on his face for a few minutes when he eats too many of them. However, I've noticed that he has a constant runny nose, and he eats strawberries everyday, I stopped for a while and his runny nose has stopped. Is it a coincidence or can strawberries cause runny nose? He also goes to daycare, so its confusing what's causing the runny nose exactly. I've never heard of it, curious if any other mamas experienced this with their LOs?

I would say if your baby is having an allergic reaction to food, it wouldn't be a runny nose it would be more like a throat closing anaphylaxis type of thing is usually a food allergy.
Since your child is going to daycare this is very common for kids to have a runny nose a lot during the first year to 1.5 of daycare.
Is this a daycare center or a home daycare?

It could also be seasonal allergies
18 years ago the same thing would happen when my son ate cinnamon. Never been diagnosed as allergic….. but I too wonder why the rose cheeks
