I’m looking for a church, Bible study, friends
I honestly don’t know where to begin. I’ve always believed in Jesus, but wasn’t until I was 15 that I accepted him as Lord. I fell away here and there. Then got back into church, but when I look back at all of that I’m not sure they really followed the Bible. Idk how to explain it, but I was in that for years. Then got married, moved away and we never really found a church. Fast forward, now I have a child and just don’t know where to start. I would still consider myself a believer just not a very good one I guess. I still don’t have a church, barely read my Bible and honestly not many friends either. My family lives on a different state so feeling a tad bit isolated. Feel so lost and stuck and don’t know where to begin. Every time I pray and start reading my Bible I do good for a little bit then I stop. I’m just tired of this cycle. I just want to be the best parent to my daughter and make sure she knows who Jesus is because this world is so messed up. Sorry that this is so long, but honestly could write more. I have so much going on right now idk where to begin so thought what I need first is a church, some friends and maybe a Bible study to attend to hold me accountable. Thanks for reading. God bless

Look at it this way...when you are with a friend or family member...y'all wanna do things you enjoy...right? Well girl, start there with Jesus too. Meet him where you wanna be, doing what you like. If you like singing...find some new Christian songs & sing along. That honors Him. It acknowledges Him. Find a Bible you can get into more, I love devotional Bibles. They help you understand what you've read & usually have reflection questions to help you apply its meaning to your own life. These help with understanding God/Jesus's character and the truth about your own. Self awareness is a big deal when you're getting to know God or new ppl in the community. Next, try joining a church moms group & show up to some play dates. Listen to what your body tells you...who do you feel safe & accepted around? Who treats your children well? What kids treat your children well? If you like helping ppl, sign up to serve...you'll meet other like-minded ppl there for sure. You'll find God in all these things!
