27+4 FTM, I want to make a decision between NCT classes and Happy Parents Happy baby ones.

Hello everyone! I really want to book myself in for one of the two options in the title, but really not able to make a choice. Can anyone who has attended either of these please advise?

My pull towards Happy Baby Happy Parents is:
1. Cheaper than NCT (NCT is currently £ 369)
2. Offers a hypnobirthing class at no extra cost
3. Offer a baby safety/first-aid class at no extra cost

BUT - NCT classes have been around for so long, and have fantastic reviews, especially for meeting people, which makes me wonder if I’m missing out on not choosing NCT.

Any advice/recommendations are appreciated!

P.S. I’ve also signed up for the NHS antenatal classes that my hospital was offering. I want to sign up for another class to maximize information.

I did NCT classes and although I enjoyed the classes for the social aspect, I didn’t find the content worth the £369.
I then had to pay extra for an infant first aid class.

Thanks for responding! This is really good insight.
It did concern me what how pricy is!

Holy shit the classes are expensive lol we paid $100 for ours through the medical practice I go to and I feel like that is standard? At least here in the US but I could be wrong. I will say there is a separate class for breastfeeding but that is $35

We did the happy parents happy baby classes. We found the NCT to be too expensive. The HPHB was actually really nice if you do it in person as you get to meet all these couples in the same situation as you and built connections. It was quite informal but really friendly and informative. You also have live classes with medical professionals every Thursday where you can ask any question you have + you grt to go for a social as well after all babies are born which I found really sweet. Both me and my husband really enjoined the classes.

If you want to get the live classes, I have a referral code that will save you £10. It’s not too much but guess every little helps 🙈 Let me know if you are interested.
