Im looking at buying an all in 1 baby food maker (steamer and blender( Has anyone got one? I am in 2 minds. Its an expensive purchase and I absolutely could do all the things it does with the equipment I already have, I don't own a steamer but can improvise one/boil the veggies and I have loads of blenders but all of it is really bulky and I think it might be useful to have something compact that does everything. But they are expensive for something I won't use for very long. Any thoughts? Anyone have one that they love or have one they have never used?

Could you look at secondhand or ask in your local mum groups? We’re doing baby led so no personal experience with making purée.

I liked to batch cook for my baby so never found the baby food makers big enough. Also now he’s older he eats soooo much.
I saw it as another piece of equipment - I used the blender I had and bought a steamer pan to go on top of a saucepan - £16 👍🏻

Personally I couldn’t see the need. It’s really not that difficult to batch boil/steam for a baby

I got one in the Lidl baby event in 2022. It’s definitely handy, but if your intentions are to do more blw then it’s probably not worth it. I did use mine often initially but that’s because I made lots of purées to freeze, as even though I wanted to do blw my girl took to purees more for the first couple weeks, then we moved onto more finger foods. I’m assuming mine will sell pretty easy after second baby though so you could always get one and sell it on afterwards

I'm looking at buying this for when my little one starts solids.

...sorry it's a long link :/

We got the Babymoov Nutribaby One which has been good for us as we didn't have any other blender and wanted to steam rather than boil to preserve the nutrients.

Just got this and love it Baby Food Maker | Baby Food... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B091C12958?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
