I’m a little stuck on what to do with my little boys bottles. He will still have about 7oz of milk when he first wakes up and about 8oz before bed. I’m not sure when I should stop it, I’m thinking of dropping morning bottle pretty soon and just giving him his breakfast early. Just don’t know what’s best.
Also for his bottle at bed I’m wanting him off bottles and maybe using cups but don’t know what would be best to use. He usually has his bottle in bed and then self soothes to sleep but can’t just give him an open cup of milk because it would go everywhere 😂.
I’m so stuck on what to do, any advice is welcomed 😊

Is he on formula still or whole milk? Have u tried non leak sippy cups? My son has his whole milk in a non spill cup with his breakfast when he wakes up and with his supper before bed, sometimes he won’t even drink it and prefers juice. May take him a while to get used to not having bottles anymore, but it’s a 3 day rule

he’s on whole milk. I was going to try one of the munchkin ones non spill. My little one doesn’t always drink it all to be honest but I like to offer it to make sure he’s full

yes I use the munchkin non spill cups, my son has been using it for around 3 months now and it’s so easy for them to use and turns into a cup! I hold it for him as he likes to throw things when he’s finished😂

We literally just stopped giving our boy his morning bottle and straight up replaced it with food. We still do bedtime bottle but sometimes he doesn't bother, like tonight he only had 3oz instead his normal 8.

Out of interest can I ask why you’re wanting to stop the milk? Or is it just the bottles themselves? My girl still has 8oz morning and night whether or not she fully finishes it and it’s my understanding that until 2 they recommend 16oz milk and another 8oz dairy products (or alternative). Was just curious that’s all x

I’m not wanting to stop his milk, just wanting to transition him off the bottle to use a cup instead. I’m only curious about the amount of milk he should be having at his age, but I know all babies are different which makes it harder.

We’ve just swapped the morning bottle for breakfast straight away! It’s working well so far and he doesn’t notice? He wasnt eating much breakfast and he was starting to be a bit sick every now and then from it and now he seems better. I think we will keep the bedtime bottle for comfort for a while but just make sure we brush his teeth after the bottle x
